This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
In 1910, Cedric Lee purchased the patent to a ring aircraft, and completed a ring biplane with Tillman Richards; the plane was flight-tested in 1911. Unit 3 made its first flight in 1914. This two-seater was equipped with a Gnome Lambda 7-cylinder 80hp air-cooled rotary engine, and was rated as a highly stable and easy-to-control airplane. By making its wing into a ring with a narrow width, it became possible for the aircraft to have a long, narrow fuselage -- a layout that was unthinkable for aircraft at that time.
This kit is a completely new mold, and will be approximately 14.7cm long with a wingspan of 14cm when completed. If you're a fan of the unusual designs from early in aviation's history, this kit is a must-have!
- Size: Approximately 17.7cm long with a wingspan of 14cm when completed
